Since 2003, I’ve written for companies who market across the globe. I specialize in B2B and B2C for the consumer product, retail, health, finance, and technology industries. My copywriting consistently surpasses my clients’ goals, helping them achieve results, fast. In my corporate and entrepreneurial life, I have never missed a single goal, quota, or revenue target. I’ve sold over a billion dollars worth of products (not many people can say that).

Before having my own copywriting and strategy business, for 20 years I climbed the ladder at Fortune 500 companies—Johnson & Johnson/McNeil Consumer Products (Tylenol), Heublein (wine and spirits), Pillsbury, Frito-Lay/PepsiCo, and Whole Foods Market, where I was the president of several subsidiaries.

I was the president of Whole Foods Markets’ direct marketing/mail companies. Not only did I lead teams of copywriters, marketers, designers, web developers, and graphic artists, but I helped Whole Foods start several direct marketing businesses. We sold hundreds of millions through the mail, on the phone, and in stores. I helped launched their first websites, too. (I also ultimately sold their direct marketing companies for them.)

Since then, I’ve been engulfed in copywriting, internet strategies, engagement and omnichannel marketing, and mobile and digital strategies. With experience in Big Data, both in regression analysis (direct marketing) and leading teams of Fortune 500 category managers (consumer products), I have unique experience and expertise in direct response copywriting.

I am very strategic about my career, exploring new channels, trends, and technology. I left the corporate world to become an entrepreneur. I wanted to try my hand at having my own business—and writing. Besides being a published novelist and poet, I also created my own six-figure information product, sold on the internet. (I marketed it and wrote all the copy.) My consulting practice has grown by word of mouth and through some targeted internet strategies, and my clients continued to ask me to write their copy.

Based on trends and needs and a passion for business writing, I strategically moved into direct response copywriting—and that’s working for me.

I have real world knowledge about people, sales, marketing, and business. People call me a strategist. And I’ve been called a “turnaround artist” (even in the newspaper) because people call me when they’re either stuck or need help growing their business beyond their current plateau. They want to take advantage of new technology and employ engagement marketing. They need an experienced direct response copywriter.

As far as copywriting… Well, like I said, I wandered into that, like many of us do.

I’d been writing multi-million dollar sales presentations, creating sale funnels, writing brochures, and web content, ad copy, financial reports, venture capitalist reports, mergers and acquisition analysis, etc. for years. My consulting clients kept asking me to write more: white papers, case studies, sales letters, video sales letters, email campaigns, sales funnels, sales presentations, telemarketers scripts, and on and on. You get the picture.

I never stop honing my skills. With a masters in language and communication, an undergraduate degree in business, and MBA studies under my belt, it’s obvious I love to learn. I continue to take online courses, to keep up-to-speed on new technology and trends, and gain consumer insights. I’ve graduated from several highly specialized courses, including direct response copywriting specialty courses, and I’ve attended prestigious, invitation-only fiction writing conferences. I regularly attend copywriting, internet marketing, and writing workshops, bootcamps, and seminars.

My passion is copywriting using engagement marketing—omnimarketing strategies plus direct response copywriting.

Often I’m also asked to create marketing materials that tie-in with your business strategy, including advertorials, print ads, taglines, feature articles, slide presentations, video sales scripts, telemarketing scripts, press releases, newsletters, speeches, web pages, and other Internet- and print-based campaigns. I do all of that.

What don’t I do? I don’t write entire information products or ghostwrite books, and I no longer personally develop small business websites. Frankly, other copywriters would enjoy writing your daily, social media posts more than I would. (But social media is an important part of your marketing strategy.) If you need help with your social media, I know plenty of copywriters that focus there.

That depends. Until I know the parameters of your project and what your specific needs are, I won’t know. Be assured, however, I won’t accept a project if I can’t do it in the timeframe you need.

I always factor in enough time to research extensively, think, create, write, and re-write, polish, edit, and revise until I’m satisfied with every word. (Hmm…That sounds a lot longer than it takes me.) However, your satisfaction is very important to me.

Sometimes, you need projects finished fast. I get it. If you have a rush job, just let me know. I always accommodate my long-term clients first. (That may be you soon.) But if I can make it work within my schedule, I certainly will.

If I take on your project, I guarantee you will have the copy on your desk by the deadline we agree on — or sooner. You can depend on me.


Of course I’ll revise. I love it when people love my work, right off the bat, but it’s completely understandable if you need changes. All you have to do is tell me what you want improved and what the changes are, and I’ll make them … fast.

There is NO CHARGE for rewriting. Revisions are included in the flat fee we’ve agreed on for the assignment, provided they are assigned within 30 days of your receipt of the copy and are not based on a change in the assignment.

My clients are typically pleased with my services. But if you are not 100% satisfied, I will revise the copy according to your specific guidelines … and at my expense.


Putting me to work for you is simple. Call or write me. We’ll talk. If you do email me and don’t get a call or note back, please call. Whether we like it or not, email isn’t always reliable. And I always return emails and phone calls. Always.

When we talk, first I’ll ask you to tell me about your product or service. I’ll want to know where you are now with your business — and where you want to be. We’ll discuss your target market and your ideal marketing approach. What do you hope to gain with your copywriting strategy? I’ll also need to know your budget.

If I can help you — and we’re a good fit for each other — I’ll need you to send me your materials, like sales letters, brochures, catalogs, a sample product, website content, and any literature that will give me insight into your product or service and your prospects. Background information is critical to write great copy. (I’m also a great researcher on my own.)
